Pancakes and Bears

· 1min

After editing a draft of a blog post, I decided to order some pancakes. As I started eating them, I figured it was time to not be cognitively involved with anything during that fine feast, so I opened YouTube and searched for “nature.” The first video that popped up was a BBC documentary.

After a minute or two, the producers shifted focus to bears. I had never given bears much thought aside from associating them with honey because of Winnie the Pooh, but that documentary gave me something to think about.

You’re probably wondering why what was so special about them in that documentary?

Honestly, just their basic need to scratch their backs and the sounds they made while doing it. That low, satisfied rumble “hrrr… hrrr…”.

In this fast paced world we hardly give ourselves a chance to take care of ourselves.

Those bears genuinely made my day, especially the cubs, learning from their mother what needs to be done as the season of shedding winter coats approached.

Here’s the BBC documentary link… pancakes and bears recommended.
